Back from Balticon

It was nice to meet some of you at Balticon 42 this past weekend, where my music group was the Music Guest of Honor.

Some of you came up to say hi, while others found me accidentally. I'd wearing my Will Write For Chocolate t-shirt in the elevator, for example, when someone behind me would exclaim, "Hey, are you Debbie Ohi? I love your comic!"

In addition to participating in the Writing For Webcomics panel, I was involved in a lot of the music programming including a concert in the main ballroom. I'll be posting photos and a report in my blog; I posted the first part yesterday.

Graphic novel project

Sadly, the artist for my graphic novel project had to opt out recently. Happily, I've found a new artist! Find out more about Beckett Gladney and the project in Blatherings.

The face on Sven's t-shirt

In case you missed my post about it some time ago and were wondering about Sven's t-shirt (someone recently posted this question), the face belongs to Chris Conway, a musician friend of mine in the UK.

I play flute on one of his CDs, in fact. You can hear my flute if you go to Chris's MySpace page and click on "Alien Jellyfish" (last song listed in his playlist). :-) My music partners, Allison Durno and Jodi Krangle, are singing backup for Chris on the song.
