Banned Books Week
From ALA's page about Banned Books Week:
Banned Books Week (BBW) is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment. Held during the last week of September, Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting actual or attempted bannings of books across the United States.

I confess, being Canadian I'd never heard of Banned Books Week till I met my Twitter friend. Here we also see Sept as a good time to respect literature, being the start of a new school year and all.
I certainly support your efforts toward 'freedom to write and read'. Keep up the efforts, folks.

At last, phew, a new WWFC- was beginning to wonder. Phillip Pulman said he was proud to be on the list of banned books. Also we learn recently that Ms Rowling wasn't offered some USA medal because of promoting witchery woo in HP. go figure
