Write a couple of dozen short stories and try to get those published. By the time you're ready to send out your first novel, and racked 100+ rejections on the short stories, it'll be just another visit to the post office.

Unless that's a really short novel, you're have to go to the post office to send it off. The post office removed all the blue and green boxes in my area after 9/11. Of course, I live next to a college. Don't know how many subversive (writer) types live in the neighborhood. :)

Ever since this comic was posted, I've always wondered... Whatever happened to Eliza's novel? Did she ever hear back? Will it be published? Was she rejected?? Please update WWFC again, it's my favorite comic :D
