This week was a good one: 3698 words, more than double my weekly goal (1750). Here's hoping this week will be as good.
Bad, bad week, in fact the worst since I started this challenge. I only wrote two days (2!), and writing about 900 words the one day doesn't really make up for it.
In my defense I've been playing around with a new morning routine and I hope to get consistent again. Starting today. (Already 500+ words this morning.)
I really didn't do very well writing this week - again! But I think after this weekend I should do better. I was able to wrap up a big critique project I have been working on for a friend of mine and I can now focus on my own rewrites and revisions. On a side note, I came home Saturday and was shocked to find a publishing contract for a short story I submitted months ago - now I just have to figure out what it says!
I did well, sticking right around the 1000 words per day mark. Sometimes I went over, some under, though I was never shorter than 750 words. It's been good so far, just got to stick with it. Thanks for the image awards, I've linked your challenge from my blog.
I want to thank you for this word count goal. For some reason, it was the switch I needed - the structure of it is helping me by being both enough to let me see results and defined enough to be achievable. (1,000 words). I've made my goal every day since beginning last week. The remarkable thing about this is that I'm not one who ever sets or achieves goals. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
What a great idea! I think that I am going to try it for next week. Also, I've been looking through your blog and really enjoying it!
