Wordcount Challenge Check-In: 250, 500, 1000 wds/day
Haven't heard of the Inkygirl Wordcount Challenge? The goal of this challenge is to help provide goal-oriented inspiration, with flexibility to avoid giving up in frustration. Please click on any of the buttons above for more info.
Every Monday, I'll post a Wordcount Challenge Check-in to see how you're all doing with your challenges. You don't have to post, of course, but I find that encouraging and receiving encouragement from others is inspiring to me as a writer.
So how did you all do this past week?

I am ashamed to say that I haven't been keeping up with it but I have been writing about 2,000 a day for a while now. I have been writing a lot of articles :) I will go back to keeping track this week :)
15,000, 12,000 of which were unintentional (I don't know if that happens to anyone else ?) My brain feels much better, though...
I'm gonna take up this 250 words challenge. (:
That's a great idea. Keeps you motivated.
greetings from Austria,
Maria
PS: Fantastic blog! :D love it!
I didn't do that well last week due to two factors, 1) I finished the first draft of a novel and had to figure out how to start the next one, and 2) I had a bad tooth that had to be pulled, and so I spent two or three days not doing much of anything. Also I had to change my routine since the new story demands to be written longhand. But I'm on track again and expect to do better next week even though I will be traveling over the weekend.
I'll take that challenge. I think I'm ready -- finally -- to start digging into my next novel. I've been in that pre-writing daze for about two months, now, plotting and scheming and ponderizing.
Now it's time to get cracking. Hit the road before the road hits us, I always say.
Whatever that means.
I'm a 1,500-2000 wpd sorta guy, so let's see if I can hit it this week!

2 weeks in a row I've managed successfully to be back on track! 250, 5 days a week is my goal. So YAY!
I'm new here, but I'm in! I'm doing the 1000 words/day challenge and I'm gonna ROCK it. Thanks for the encouragement!
This is my 6th week to keep the 500 Words a Day Challenge. Some days I've done better than others, but overall I feel like I've achieved some success and built my confidence as a writer by keeping to the wordcount goal I set. Thanks for the "goal-oriented inspiration" at this blog!
I do about 1000-2000 a day. Depends on how much work I have to do, but now that its getting closer to summer my wrdcount should be getting even higher. Thanks for doing this Debbie! :)
@MC - yup! I've had that happen to me just about every week this month - except this last week.
I knew going into last week that it was going to be very busy and I would be hard pressed to find writing time. The week was almost a complete bust. With the exception of two days, I didn't even get 1K in - and the days I should have been able to were spent being so exhausted the ability to be creative just wouldn't come. I'm sure that once I adjust to the 100F+ temperatures and now that last week is behind me, I'll do better. I'm on the home stretch of this novel and I'm starting to revise the last one so there's plenty to do - I just need to do it!
I've given you the "One Lovely Blog" award - I'm not sure how to post the award here but go to my site and grab the fantastic picture of roses in a teacup, post it somewhere prominant! And pay it forward.
Thanks for having a freakin' sweet blog, always.
