Oh, I love/hate this. This is precisely how I feel with my writing currently and several (self-imposed) deadlines. If I wait until the last minute, it will all get written with just enough time for my editor (read as wife) to look it over and for me to post. She will saw the back legs of my comfy chair off one day so that when I lean back to relax (procrastinate) I fall backwards, and suffer a mild concussion.
