Although I didn't manage to write everyday - I made up for the losses on the days I did write so I made my goal of 1,000 words a day :)
Again? Oh right, it's Monday. Let's see I managed to write a bit more than 500 words 5 times this week again. On Wednesday it was my husband's 50th birthday, and on Saturday I went to see a concert and only when I had already left home did it occur to me that the concert happened at my regular writing time... I'm really, really happy though with how much I'm writing.
I've surprised myself! I've been very good about making sure I write 500 words a day 6 days a week. I have to admit, it feels fantastic. I'm not working on the project I thought I'd be working on, but I am writing, and that, as far as I'm concerned, is fantastic!
26235 total, 1097 average. Still surprised I've managed to do it. But I had several days of over 2K and one day of over 4K! Cool.
I'm averaging about 1,000 words every day, and it's increasing little by little as I'm getting into my groove!
Pushing myself to write at least 1,000 words a day has been really great for my task lists, too. I'm getting things done before my deadlines!
In the last 7 days I've written around 16K - but the problem is that most of that isn't spent writing where I need to. Most of it is fun stuff with friends or my blog so the numbers really need to shift. I'm keeping track of everything I write right now in a spreadsheet to try to track my writing habits and see if I can't convince myself to write more where I need to. Really glad I'm doing this!!!
I just started last week! I'm starting small with 250 words and then working my way up to 1000. So far I am doing very well! Thanks for this challenge! Good luck to you all!
Not so well. But after seeing your post it reminded me about my commitment and I was inspired (butt in chair kind of inspired) to write a ton more. I feel encouraged about how I'm doing even though I'm not reaching my goals right now. I'm getting closer every week though.
Not so hot - last week. Had an article that would have helped prop my "average" up - but had to toss it. Couldn't figure a way to make it workable for my new relationship blog. Then I let life, myself, get in the way. Yet and still, captured two followers! Extremely motivated to write s-o-m-e-t-h-i-n-g everyday - even if it's just commentary on my relationship with myself. Lots of material there! :D
I was a little slack this last week. I get so caught up in the fear of not writing enough or well enough for Wri/Ye that I am thinking that at least for the time to quit the actual site. I am thinking instead that I will stick to this challenge as well as the NaNoWriMo challenge. I will still shoot for the goal of writing 1kk words for the year but I am thinking that I will do it more for me than for bragging rights. I mean lets fact it if signing up for the challenge does nothing more than freezes my brain instead of inspiring me then maybe it's not for me at this time :(. Will still be writing for my blog and diffent writing sites. Just will do it for my passion and not to prove something to everyone else :) Last week's word count is 5662 :( must do better this week :)
I am still managing my 500 words a day plus some. The necessity to write is beginning to set in. Maybe by the end of next month it will be a ingrained habit.
