A while back, I interviewed children's book author Ame Dyckman about her writing process. If you haven't read it yet, you should! I loved her quote about libraries so much that I decided to turn it into an illustration. :-)

After seven hours and five attempts, volunteers from the Seattle Public Library and local residents set up a total of 2,131 books to break the world record for the longest book domino chain. The event kicked off the library's Summer Reading Program.

In a Baltimore Post Examiner article, librarian Meredith Myers says she created literary parody song "The Raven Is Hard To Handle" to honor Edgar Allan Poe as well as promote libraries. Fun video with a great message at the end!
