This is why I don't let my wife read my books. Bookmarks should always be used--no dog-earing or placing the book down open so the spine gets ruined.
I admit it. I dog-ear pages like crazy. And when I want to dog-ear something on the opposite side of a page I already dog-eared, I dog-ear from the bottom. It's why I avoid the library and I haven't committed to an e-reader. Whew. It feels good to get that off my chest.
All the time.
Every dog-ear I see feels like a stab to the heart. I'm trying to get over myself.
I used to dog ear books when I was a kid.. but now I always use a bookmark, and when other people do it, I feel like the lady in your comic.
